Move More
Physical activity, like proper nutrition, is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Being physically active helps not only to burn calories, but also improves your mood and helps you feel more energetic.
You do not have to join a gym or participate in a team sport to get some exercise.
- For example, take three ten-minute walks during the day and you are moving. Walk fast enough that your heart rate goes up, but make sure you can still have a conversation. If you can't talk, slow down, you are going too fast!
Make sure to exercise in a safe environment that is accessible to you when you need it.
- Remember, it is always a good idea to consult your physician or health care provider before starting making big changes in your activity level.
