Outline of pregnant mother, with a heart for the mother and a heart for the child

Health problems or COMPLICATIONS during pregnancy can place you and your baby at risk. It is important to keep your prenatal care appointments and to learn about early warning signs of complications, so you can report any concerns to your health care provider right away. Pregnancy complications include gestational diabetes or high blood sugar, hypertension or high blood pressure, and problems with the placenta that helps feed and protect your baby during pregnancy.
