Renewing a License

Residential Builder

Residential Builder licenses expire triennially on May 31st.  The renewal notification will be mailed to the address that is on file with the Department approximately 90 days prior to the date of renewal.  The license must be renewed online using a debit or credit card containing a MasterCard, Visa, or Discover logo, or by electronic check (e-check).  If you pay by debit or credit card, please allow for three business days for processing.  If you pay by e-check, please allow 10 days for processing.  The renewal fee is $150.  Payments received by mail or in person will not be accepted and the renewal will not be processed.  If a licensee fails to renew online and/or fails to meet all renewal requirements by the expiration date of the license, the licensee cannot legally practice and may be subject to disciplinary action if the individual continues to practice.

 

Maintenance & Alteration Contractor

Maintenance & Alteration Contractor licenses expire triennially on May 31st. PLEASE NOTE: The Qualifying Officer for your Residential Builder Corporation, Limited Liability Company (LLC) or Partnership must renew their Individual License. If the Qualifying Officer does not hold an active individual license, he or she must immediately submit an application to the Licensing Division to obtain an individual license. The Qualifying Officer’s individual license is separate from the company license as it is issued to the individual in his or her name, and the license number will begin with 2101. If the Corporation/LLC/Partnership does not have a Qualifying Officer with an active individual license, the Corporation/LLC/Partnership’s license will not be renewed until the Q.O. has an active license.  Otherwise the Corporation/LLC/Partnership license may be suspended if the Q.O. does not renew their individual license timely. Change of Address

Licensees should ensure the Department has the most current address on file so that the renewal notification will be received.
