Board of Boiler Rules

The Board of Boiler Rules was created by 2016 PA 407.

The responsibilities of the board are to prescribe uniform rules for boilers; provide for the licensing of boiler inspectors, installers, repairers and registration of boiler operators and stationary engineers; set fees for licenses, registrations, permits, inspections, and certificates; and to provide penalties for violation of the act.

Requests to appear before the Board of Boiler Rules (including completed documentation and applicable fee) must be submitted at least 35 days prior to the meeting date. Meeting dates, times, and locations are subject to change.

All meetings will be held at 611 West Ottawa Street, Lansing, 48933.

The meeting site and parking are accessible. Individuals attending a meeting are requested to refrain from using heavily scented personal care products, in order to enhance accessibility for everyone. Please make sure all cell phones, pagers, and other personal electronic devices are turned off or set to vibrate.
