How to Create an Account to Renew Your Liquor License Online
The online renewal portal works best on either a laptop or desktop computer. We do not recommend using a phone or tablet to create an account.
If You Used the Online Renewal Portal Since 2019...
If you used the online renewal portal since 2019 to renew your license, you do not need to register again. You will use the same email username and password you used in prior years; however, the online renewal portal will ask you to create a new password once you attempt to log in for the first time this year. If you added an additional licensed location since last renewing online, then after logging in you will need to follow Step 2 below to add that license account to your renewal.
Step 1 - Register for the Online Renewal Portal
If you have not renewed online in the past, you will need to click the "Register" button (see screenshot below), which will take you to a page where you will input some information to set up a new renewal account. Once you have submitted that information, you will receive a confirmation email that will allow you to set up a password.
Some email programs flag emails from the renewal portal as spam or block them. Please add MLCCLicensingRenewals@michigan.gov to your trusted email list in your email program so that the password email and payment receipt are not blocked by your system.
Please note that your existing Online Liquor Ordering (OLO) password or Michigan Wholesale Product Registry (MWPR) password will not work for this login, though you may use the same email address and a similar password if you choose to do so when you are registering for the online renewal portal.
Step 2 - Add a Business
Once you have registered in Step 1, you will be redirected to the online renewal portal. You need to link the account you set up in Step 1 to your licensed business or businesses. You will click "Add Account" and a new page will open where you will enter the Master Business ID number and Master PIN from the letter mailed to you in January 2024 or the information you received when you were issued your license. The page to enter the Master BID number and Master PIN will look like this:
The Master BID number and Master PIN will be listed on the letter you were mailed in January 2024 and will look like this:
The Master BID number and Master PIN will be listed on the information you received when your license was issued and will look like this:
If you do not have either of the documents listed above, you may request the Master BID and PIN for your business by emailing mlcclicensingrenewals@michigan.gov. The person requesting Master BID and PIN must be on record as one of the corporate stockholders or LLC members.
Now that you have read these instructions, you may access the online renewal portal through the button below.
