Welcome to the Michigan Career and Technical Institute (MCTI). MCTI is a residential vocational training center for adults with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities. Our location on the shores of Pine Lake in Barry County provides students with a beautiful and peaceful setting for living and learning.
Our fully accessible campus offers a unique blend of caring human support services and state-of-the-art training for jobs needed in business and industry today. A career assessment service is available to help students explore their career options. Depending on aptitude and interest, students may choose to enroll in one of 13 vocational programs. In addition, students have access to a full spectrum of health, psychological, and social work services.

All vocational areas have an active Business Advisory Council consisting of local and state business representatives. The participation of these councils assures students that the curriculum and equipment presented in their training areas meet the standards of individual business operations.
MCTI has maintained accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 1979. The Institute is also accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. MCTI is also a member of the State-operated Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center Consortium.
