What should I do if I offer my employee to come back to work and they refuse for a COVID-19 specific reason?

An employer should contact the Agency through the employer’s MiWAM Account. Due to high call volume during this time, employers are encouraged to submit correspondence to the Agency online. Employers should provide the following information: a copy of the offer including the rate of pay, who offered it, and how it was communicated to the employee, how the offered work compared to the work previously performed by the employee, if the employer maintained safety standards required by state and federal law in light of COVID-19, if the employer followed the MI Safe Start plan, and the reason given by the employee for refusing the offered work.
