Radiation Machine Rules Draft Revisions (Posted 1/6/2015)
A new Radiation Safety draft rule set has been posted on the Office of Regulatory Reinvention (ORR) website. The new draft rule set covers Ionizing Radiation Rules Governing the Use of Radiation Machines. Posting of the draft rules is an early stage in the formal rulemaking process.
Under the State of Michigan's formal rule promulgation process, the department is required to hold a public hearing to receive comments from interested stakeholders. At this time a date for the public hearing has not been set. This courtesy notification to registrants and interested parties is intended to allow adequate time to review the new rule draft prior to the formal announcement of the public hearing.
