Strategic Plan
MIOSHA has developed a strategic plan to guide our resource strategies in helping to protect worker safety and health in
Michigan. The strategic plan focuses on three strategic goals that are consistent with those of Federal OSHA. To accomplish
these strategic goals MIOSHA has established outcome and performance goals. These goals will guide the program during the next five years.
By defining performance measures that are outcome-oriented, rather than activity-oriented, the plan provides clear benchmarks for evaluating performance.
Based upon the strategic, outcome and performance goals outlined in the plan, MIOSHA will develop an Annual Performance Plan that will identify specific performance goals for each fiscal year. Actions required to meet the annual performance goals will be identified in the annual plans. Key activities and milestones will be tracked and used to assess progress toward the achievement of the five year goals.
