Cherese Wilkerson
Region 7
Cherese Wilkerson has worked with the Unemployment Insurance Agency for the past 18 years as a Lead Worker. Her job responsibilities included training staff on process improvements, company policies, objectives, and program deliverables to ensure daily staff objectives align with the operational, departmental, and organizational goals. She is excellent at assessing employee skill gaps and developing training materials to meet identified needs. She collaborated with cross-functional teams to nurture and accelerate transformational change in programs across the board, resolve cross-program issues and facilitate superior and excellent customer service.
Cherese's goal as a Community Liaison is to take her previous job experience along with her training with Helping Hands of Michigan, a non-profit organization, who finds resources for children, women, and underserved communities, and help tear down barriers in areas that are not privy to resources, by collaborating with community-based organizations to aid and educate these areas regarding unemployment programs.
Cherese's area of service includes the counties of Eaton, Clinton and Ingham.
