Cindy Rue joined the Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) in September 2020 as a Limited Term Examiner with the Benefits Customer Service Division. Cindy later transferred to the Fraud and Investigations Division in which she worked for two years. Cindy accepted a permanent position with the Benefits Customer Service Contact Center in January 2023 in which she worked on special projects.
Cindy previously practiced as a case manager with a local nonprofit organization and worked 10 years with Community Mental Health. Cindy is a retired veteran and has served 21years with the Michigan Air National Guard. Cindy is on the executive board as the Vice President of Got Your Six, which is a LEO Employee Resource Group (ERG).
Cindy has been happily married to Tony Rue for 14 years. They have four adult children and six grandchildren. She enjoys swimming and traveling.
Cindy's area of service includes the counties of Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Newaygo, Oceana, and Osceola.
