Jill Lang

Jill Lang joined the Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) in 2021 as a Limited-Term Unemployment Insurance Examiner. Jill communicated with and assisted a diverse population with claims, problem-solving, adjudications, and other essential tasks.

Jill’s time in the Benefit Overpayment Collections/Benefit Enforcement Unit has been rewarding. She enjoyed assisting claimants with overpayment questions, refunds, interstate reciprocal overpayments, and completing case studies for the new system. As a lead trainer, Jill is enthused to share knowledge and build a more robust support network within the organization.

Jill’s interaction within the community has provided extensive experience with individuals from different ethnic backgrounds. She approaches each individual and family with cultural awareness and respect while assisting in finding resolutions for the core concerns.

As a Community Liaison, Jill looks forward to supporting under-represented populations by working with community-based organizations and educating internal and external customers about unemployment programs.

Jill's area of service is the counties of Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Van Buren.
