Katrina Burton embodies the core values of Michigan’s Workforce by starting off her journey as a good standing member of the UAW, as well as a family line of UAW members of Michigan’s Auto Industry. Katrina prides herself on being an active member of the OES Chapter, Order of the Eastern Stars. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration Management.

Katrina has been employed with the Unemployment Insurance Agency for 20 years where she has assumed various roles through the years. Prior to becoming a community liaison for the UIA, she served as a Lead Worker in the Detroit Local Office tasked with assisting examiners with customer inquiries, explaining policy and procedures, and deciding eligibility cases to resolve various issues.  

As a Community Liaison for UIA, Katrina’s vision is to tackle workforce issues and barriers holding back financial independence by promoting workforce development.

Katrina's area of service includes the counties of Macomb, Oakland and Wayne.
