Nancy Pollard

Through her prior career in property management, Nancy Pollard has enjoyed serving a wide range of clients, learning about financial constraints, making difficult emotional choices, and feeling good about giving people a place to live. In addition, Nancy and her husband ran a modest business for ten years.
Nancy has worked for UIA for three years. Prior to taking on the role of community liaison, she served as an examiner in the Lansing Local Office, meeting with claimants in person to address issues and inform them of the next steps in obtaining benefits. Nancy's duties also consisted of adjudication, fact-finding, assisting with claim filing, and general problem-solving.
Nancy's objectives as a Community Liaison for UIA are to identify barriers and claimant needs by offering education, support, and services that UIA offers to lessen the burdens of navigating the unemployment benefit process, as well as provide support and tools not only for claimants but also for the supporting public.
Nancy's area of service includes the counties of Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, Van Buren.
