2018 MeL Databases Announcement

  • MeL Databases Announcement PDF icon

The Library of Michigan is pleased to announce that our most recent procurement process is nearing the finish line and we can announce our intentions to you. Our MeL Databases RFP process began with 8 listening sessions held in several communities around the state from Canton to Marquette. Your feedback helped shape the content of the RFP which was issued in January of this year. Several vendors responded to the RFP and 11 vendors were asked to provide trial access and product demonstrations via webinars. More than 200 members of the library community evaluated database resources during the trial period and provided detailed feedback to us via an evaluation survey. The decisions on the final choices were made using your evaluations and the available budget allocated to the Michigan eLibrary program.
