Obtain a Library Card: www.michigan.gov/librarycard
All Michigan residents and students at Michigan colleges and universities are eligible for Library of Michigan library cards. This card allows the holder to check out materials from the Library’s circulating collections as well as request materials through MeLCat, Michigan’s statewide library catalog and borrowing service for pickup at the Library.
Michigan residents and non-resident college students may apply for a library card in person at the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor of the Library. Applicants are required to show a valid Michigan Driver's license or state ID card. Out-of-state students may use their valid driver's license from their home states in combination with their current student ID card.
If you have questions, please contact the Reference Desk at 373-1300 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Check out information about the Michigan Activity Pass.
State of Michigan employees can apply online.
