The City of Newaygo is seeking a MCOLES licensed Police Officer (or Candidate) capable of working within a team environment as well as individually.
This position involves extensive interaction with the public both in the office and in the field. The position will be an entry level police officer.
This position is also responsible for enforcing municipal codes, ordinances, and regulations.
The successful candidate will have proven communication skills; considerable knowledge, training, and experience in customer service and municipal enforcement; proficient computer skills, and a valid driver's license. Prior experience in Law Enforcement would be helpful, but not required. The Law enforcement position starting pay is negotiable depending on the candidate. The starting pay may be increased pursuant to qualifications and budgetary allowance.
