The Village of Elsie Police Department is seeking applicants for several Part-Time Police Officer Positions. This shift work position is responsible for providing police services to the residents of the Village of Elsie, performing a wide variety of law enforcement and community activities. The ideal candidate must be a positive self-motivated, conscientious individual to serve a police officer.
Applicants must be MCOLES certified, a high school graduate, and possess a valid Michigan driver's license. Associate Degree in criminal justice or related field is preferred.
This position is well suited for officers who enjoy working patrol as well as engaging with the community in a friendly, small-town atmosphere. Estimated population of residents is 1,000. The Village of Elsie Police Department is a small, friendly rural community located in the Northeast corner of Clinton County. The Village of Elsie borders Shiawassee County and is approximately one mile south of Gratiot County.
Minimum starting wage for this position depends strictly on qualifications and experience. Lateral transfers to qualified candidates as well as flexible scheduling for those who desire to work in a friendly community. We are seeking to fill day and afternoon positions.
