Auburn Hills Police Department: Non-Sworn Investigations Technician Closing Date: July 31, 2022

The position will be responsible for assisting the department with investigations associated with technology. This includes the review of digital/electronic evidence from cell phones, computers, etc. and the analysis of data associated with this technology. The position will organize and prepare digital evidence that can be used for investigative purposes and aid in prosecution. The position will be responsible for monitoring social media and reviewing evidence related to social media use. Additional job duties will include analysis of cellphone data, video analysis, electronic files, and monitoring GPS tracking technology. In the Police Department, this position will aid in the investigative process and provide timely information, which increases the apprehension of offenders and the clearance of cases. They will primarily support the activities of the Police Department but may be called upon from time to time to provide expertise that supports the overall operations of the City.
