Would you like more time off than you are currently getting? Tired of working afternoon shift, missing all of the family events? The City of Jonesville is seeking positive, self-motivated, conscientious individuals to serve as a police officer. We are focused on officer wellness and family time with our unique rotating schedule. You work two (2) days (48hrs) and have the next four (4) days (96hrs) off.
You live at the department for those two days. We have a full kitchen, sleeping/showing quarters, cable TV and internet at your disposal. You could enjoy all of what Michigan has to offer on your four days off. Take a mini vacation each week, get a second job, go back to school, the options are endless. The fire service has enjoyed this type of work schedule successfully for years and it's time law enforcement does also.
Successful candidate must be MCOLES certifiable, a high school graduate, and possess a valid Michigan driver's license. Associate's degree in criminal justice or related field is preferred. Testing consists of written exam, oral interview, background investigation, physical examination, including drug screen.
$22.00hr-$25.92hr; starting pay DOQ.
