Richfield Township is a recreational wonderland located in the heart of Northern Lower Michigan with some of the best hunting, fishing and trails in Michigan and an all-seasons lake. With a fulltime population of just over 3700, this is an amazing area to build a life. We focus on community policing and have a close-knit department. Our officers are all Police, Fire and EMS trained.

All Applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be a United States Citizen.
- Possess at a minimum a High School diploma with an Associate's Degree.
- Have no felony convictions, misdemeanor convictions will be considered on a case by case basis. No history of criminal or improper conduct. No poor employment or irresponsible financial history.
- Possess a valid Michigan driver's license.
- Be Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) licensed or eligible for licensing.
- Be of good moral character.
- Willing to attend a sponsored EMT-B class at no cost to the employee.
- Willing to get a Firefighter II Michigan Certification at no cost to the employee.
