The City of Pleasant Ridge is seeking MCOLES certified or certifiable candidates for the position of full-time police officer. Pleasant Ridge is a city within Oakland County that sits in the middle of the Metro Detroit Area at Ten Mile and Woodward Ave. Pleasant Ridge has a population of 2600 residents and is less than a square mile in area. The police department consists of a Police Chief, Sergeant, and 5 full-time officers that respond to calls for service 24 hours a day. Pleasant Ridge contracts fire service and EMS with Ferndale, and dispatch and prisoner lodging services with Berkley Public Safety. Pleasant Ridge is composed of quiet middle-class residents that support the community and respect their police department.

REQUIREMENTS
- 21 years of age
- No felony convictions (misdemeanors screened on case by case basis).
- Valid Michigan Driver’s license
- MCOLES licensed or currently licensable
