Corunna City Police Department: Part-time Patrol Officer Closing Date: April 30, 2023

The City of Corunna, Shiawassee County, MI is looking for two part-time patrol officers. The primary shifts to be covered are second shift and third shift, with some weekends. All applicants must be MCOLES certified at the time of hire.
The pay is dependent on experience and does include time and a half on holidays as well as holiday pay. There are step increases in pay as well as annual pay raises. There is the ability to earn paid time off as well after 1,500 hours worked.
There is normally only one car/person on duty at a time. However, there are exceptions based on events that are occurring. The 4th of July is a required holiday for all to work as the City of Corunna hosts the largest one-day festival with the largest fireworks display in the county.
The department consists of 3 full time officers (including the chief), 6 part time officers and 3 reserve officers.
