Cambridge Township: Full-time Patrol Officer Closing Date: April 15, 2023

Cambridge Township is currently accepting applications for the position of a full-time patrol officer. Located in the Irish Hills area of Lenawee County, Onsted, The Police Department currently consists of 4 sworn full-time police officers.  As a summer tourist destination with its 21 lakes, Cambridge Township is home to Michigan International Speedway (MIS), which hosts numerous events including the August NASCAR race and the July Faster Horses three-day music event.  Positive communication skills are a must with citizens, visitors, and business owners. We are proud of the strong partnerships we have established with our community and put an emphasis on maintaining those partnerships.  The Police Department is currently moving into a new building.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• All applicants must be licensed or licensable by MCOLES at the time of appointment. 
• Applicants must possess a valid Michigan driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record. 
• Applicants must have exceptional communication skills and present an excellent professional image.
• Applicants must complete an oral interview, a psychological examination, a physical examination with drug test, and a thorough background check investigation in order to be considered for employment. 
• Applicants must have the ability to perform all job functions, including typical physical demands unassisted and without delay. 
• Applicants must have positive work ethic and ability to work well with others.

WAGES AND BENEFITS:

• Hourly pay rate $27.50; $57,200 per year 
• 12 hour shifts
