City of Riverview Police Department: Police Officer Entry Level and Lateral Transfers Closing Date: May 31, 2023

The City of Riverview is currently hiring full-time police offers and creating an eligibility list for future police officers. 

Qualifications must include, at a minimum:

  • High School Diploma/GED, if sponsored by a department and certified or certifiable.
  • Associate's degree if one has not been sponsored by a department.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Clean criminal record.

A competitive wage package is offered, with salary ranging from $52,678 - $75,872.  3 % wage increases, July 2023, July 2024, and July 2025. Top pay at 36 months or see lateral pay.  

LATERAL PAY:

We will match years of service up to our top pay, which is 36 months per letter of understanding.

Also included is a gun allowance, clothing & cleaning allowance, shift premium, paid holidays, vacation, sick time, and longevity. We also offer a competitive benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurances, and a 2.0% defined benefit plan with a retiree healthcare plan.
