The City of Hudson is a small community located in Lenawee County in Southeastern Michigan. We are looking to fill a full-time police officer position to work Monday through Friday with weekends off. All applicants must be MCOLES certifiable at the time of hire.
The Full-time position is Monday through Friday with weekends off. The city recognizes 11 holidays paid 2.5x for 8 hours worked on the recognized holiday. Example: If Christmas Eve and Christmas Day fall on Saturday and Sunday, then you will work Friday and Monday for holiday pay. On-Call pay can be paid to experienced officers to be on call for weekends to answer part-time officer questions.
The pay is contingent on experience. All duty gear, firearms, and equipment will be provided through a contracted agreement clothing allowance. The normal shifts consist of one car / person on duty, however, overlap shifts depend on events, details, workload and vacancies caused by vacation / sick time. The department consists of 3 full-time officers (including the chief), part-time officers and we are currently looking into providing a SRO. Anyone interested in working as an SRO should also apply.
