The Chesaning Police Department is currently accepting applications and resumes for a full-time police officer position. We are seeking positive community-oriented officers to add to our team. The Village of Chesaning is a growing, friendly community in the southern area of Saginaw County. Low crime, strong community support and a great opportunity for community policing at its finest. CPD currently consists of a Chief or Police, a Sergeant, full-time patrol officers, part-time patrol officers, a K9 Unit and a Reserve Police unit.
Full-time Benefits include:
- Starting Pay of $24.88 an hour, with annual raises and FOP union representation.
- Uniforms and equipment are provided by the department.
- Specialized instructor training available per department needs
- 12 hour shift schedules

Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Possess a valid Michigan driver's license.
- Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) licensed or licensable by time of appointment.
- Pass a background investigation
- Must be willing to work all shifts, days, nights, and holidays.
