The City of Olivet Police Department is accepting resume and cover letters to fill the position of Full-Time Police Officer (General Duty), and the position of School Resource Officer (SRO).
Applicants for both positions must be MCOLES licensed or licensable, and be able to pass a comprehensive background, as well as medical and drug testing. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving history, and must be able to perform general police duties, which include, but not limited to, mobile patrol, receiving and investigating complaints, traffic enforcement, and general peace keeping activities. Strong communication skills are a must.
Additional training will be required of the SRO upon hire, if the successful candidate has not already received the training. The SRO will only work during the school year.
