The City of Ishpeming is seeking a self-motivated and conscientious individual to serve as a Patrol Officer. This position is responsible for providing police services to the City of Ishpeming in accordance with State, Federal and local laws. This position is for a temporary patrolman for a period not-to exceed (3) years. This position may be converted, without competition, should a vacancy occur during this time frame.
Candidates must be MCOLES licensable, have a high school diploma, and possess a valid Michigan driver's license. A Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred. Testing consists of oral interviews, extensive background investigation, physical and psychological examinations.
