White Pigeon Police Department: Police Officer Closing Date: January 1, 2024

The White Pigeon Police Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time police officer position. The Village of White Pigeon is located in the South West section of St Joseph County, Michigan.  The village of White Pigeon was incorporated in 1837 and has a population of approximately 1,700 residents seated along the intersection of US 12 and US 131. The White Pigeon Police Department has a mutual aid agreement with the Village of Constantine, MI and also frequently assist Michigan State Police along with St Joseph County Sheriff's Department. We currently have several specialty positions including K9, Special Response Team (SRT), and the Major Crimes Team.  This is a full-time union position offering comparable wages and good benefits including MERS retirement.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age at time of appointment.
  • Possess a valid Michigan driver's license and have a high diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have obtained valid MCOLES license or be licensable.
  • No Felony convictions.  
  • Must be a citizen of the United States.
  • Must submit to and pass a background investigation, physical examination and psychological examination.
