The City of Ludington (pop 8,100) is accepting applications for the position of full-time police officer with preference being given to MCOLES licensed applicants. All applicants must be licensed or licensable by MCOLES. The position includes a competitive wage and benefit package and a defined benefit pension at age 50 after 25 years of service.
LATERAL ENTRY of new hires with a minimum of two years continuous full-time MCOLES licensed officer experience starting pay at two-year pay step of $57,262.40. New hires of police officers with a minimum of five years continuous full-time MCOLES licensed experience starting pay at three-year pay step of $59,384.
The Ludington Police Department is now offering a $10,000 signing bonus applicable only to applicants who are currently MCOLES licensed police officers.
