The Lake Orion Police Department is looking to fill a full-time vacancy. Lake Orion is in northern Oakland County, approximately 1.5 square miles, with just shy of 3,000 residents. Lake Orion consists of a lake, a bustling downtown community (including an active night scene), and one mile of M-24.
Starting pay is $26.12 an hour, with top pay being $34.69 an hour after three years. Health insurance is through BCBS of Michigan, with no employee contribution, and retirement is MERS 457.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree
- MCOLES licensed or MCOLES licensable
- No felony convictions
- Good driving record
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Ability to work alone
- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
