Job Description:
The Center Line Department of Public Safety is currently accepting applications to fill a Vacancy for the position of Public Safety Officer. The Public Safety Officer (PSO) position requires applicants to be cross trained in both Police, Firefighting, and Medical First Responder (MFR).
Preference will be given to applicants who have already obtained MCOLES police license or Fire Fighter I and II certifications.
Requirements include:
- High school/GED diploma;
- Must be a U.S. citizen, 21 years or older at time of employment;
- Must have passed the MCOLES physical, reading and writing test
- Must have a valid Michigan driver's license and good driving history;
- Ability to successfully pass a background investigation, psychological evaluation, interview process, and drug/alcohol screen.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
