The Port Huron Police Department is excited to accept applications for the position of full-time Police Officer. Located in St. Clair County along the shorelines of the St. Clair River and Lake Huron, the Port Huron Police Department is a 58-sworn strong, full service, professional agency. PHPD holds National Accreditation with CALEA, as well as State Accreditation with MLEAC, making PHPD one of only three agencies in the State of Michigan that is dually accredited.
The Port Huron Police Department is seeking energetic, motivated, and honorable men and women to join the team. The application process includes: submitting an application, resume, and cover letter, passing a basic comprehension written test (NOT EMPCO), and completing an oral board interview.
Port Huron Police Officers have the opportunity to join several specialty units, including: K-9 Unit, Accident Investigation Unit, Crisis Negotiation Unit, SWAT, Mountain Bike Patrol, Marine Division, Community Services Officer, Evidence Technician, Field Training Officer, School Resource Officer, College Resource Officer, Honor Guard, Recruiting Team, Criminal Investigative Division, Major Crimes Unit, Subject Control Cadre, Drug Task Force, Peer Support Team, and Emergency Vehicle Instructor.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- $55,328 - $73,756 annually (candidates with prior police experience may qualify to start at a higher base wage level)
