Lawrence Police Department: Police Officer Positions (Full-Time and Part-Time) Closing Date: October 7, 2024

Lawrence PD is accepting applications for full time and part time Police Officer positions. The Village has approximately 1000 residents and is a bedroom community in South West Lower Michigan. Lawrence has a small but growing industrial park located just north of 1-94. The department is looking for experienced full and part-time officers to provide community based policing to the citizens and businesses of this rural area.

BENEFITS:

Starting hourly wage $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on prior police experience

Full time employees MERS Defined Contribution Plan (6% employee contribution 3% Village contribution)

2.5 weeks of paid time off

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment and meet all MCOLES standards
Must be MCOLES licensed or licensable
Must have a minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent experience
Must have a valid Michigan Driver's license
No Felony convictions. Misdemeanors will be screened on a case by case basis
Must be a United States citizen
Medical First Responder license is preferred but not required
