Whitehall Police Department: Police Officer Closing Date: May 17, 2024

The City of Whitehall has an immediate opening for a full-time police officer.  Whitehall is town of 2,800 people and 4 square miles located in northern Muskegon County bordered by the White River to the north and to the west by White Lake, which empties into beautiful Lake Michigan.  

The Whitehall Police department takes pride in being service and community oriented while still providing excellent law enforcement services for our residents and guests.  Whitehall Police wants motivated candidates willing to put in the extra efforts to keep the community safe and secure, and handle all the duties of a law enforcement officer.
Qualified candidates must be 21 years old, have a valid Michigan driver license, and a current MCOLES license or be licensable.  Applicants must also pass a physical and psychological exam, and pass a drug screening.  They also must pass an extensive background check and be free from disqualifying criminal convictions.  

Current hourly rate from $24.18 to $32.24.  Benefits include health, dental, optical and life insurance, MERS defined contribution and 457 retirement, 11 holidays per year, 200 hours PTO per year and other benefits.
