We’re looking for certified Police Officers as well as Police Recruits with no experience.
Join our dedicated team of law enforcement professionals. St. Ignace enjoys low rates of violent crime and is a tight-knit community that still values and appreciates their law enforcement officers. The applicant must have good interpersonal-public relations skills and possess a strong desire to serve and protect others. You must also be willing to work a variety of shifts, including holidays and weekends. A college degree is preferred but not required. If selected, the department may pay the costs associated with your police academy training for new police recruits.
We offer competitive pay, benefits, and MERS state retirement. Lateral pay offered for already certified Police Officers.
