The Detroit Transit Police Department is accepting applications for Transit Police Officer.
DESCRIPTION:
Detroit Transit Police Officers are MCOLES licensed officers with the authority to enforce the laws and city ordinances, while patrolling the Detroit People Mover Elevated Rail System.
PAY RATE:
$51,376 - $69,200 plus overtime, holiday pay, shift premiums.
BENEFITS:
Medical, Dental, Optical, Life Insurance, Heath Saving Account, 457 investment plan and pension qualification after 5 years of service. Plus, uniform allowance, sick time, excused time.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Patrol shifts are currently 12 hours, during the 80 hour pay period.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates can be current or expired MCOLES licensed and must possess a valid CPL upon hire and MCOLES license must be current upon hiring.
