JOB SUMMARY: This position is a non-represented, non-sworn Police Recruit, employed with benefits while attending Police Academy (January–May, 2025). An Employed Police Recruit must successfully complete MCOLES Basic Police Academy to be eligible for activation to a Police Officer position in the Troy Police Department. The Recruit will be sponsored for their academy training; the City of Troy will pay for all required tuition, course fees, equipment, and uniforms associated with Police Academy training. Regular attendance to classes is required.
