Bridgman Police Department: Police Officer (Part-Time) Closing Date: October 31, 2024

The Bridgman Police Department is accepting applications for a part-time Police Officer. To be considered, it is preferred that the applicant have 2-3 years patrol experience, however, we will consider candidates with less. The applicant must have good interpersonal-public relations skills and be able to work a variety of shifts (normally 10 or 12 hours) including holidays and weekends. Starting hourly wage $22.00 - $25.00 (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications). This position is primarily for (but not limited to) filling in shifts during vacations, sickness, special activities, sporting events, etc.

The applicant must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be MCOLES licensed.
  • Must have a valid State of Michigan Driver's License and a good driving record.
  • Applicants must have no felony convictions or disqualifying misdemeanor convictions.
  • Submit to and pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
  • Must have basic computer skills
