POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and home to one of the oldest cities in the United States, Sault Ste. Marie. Chippewa County is the second largest County in Michigan covering 1,558.5 square miles of land and 1.140 square miles of water, with a population of 36,785. Road Patrol Deputies are responsible for investigating various crimes, civil complaints, services of civil process papers, traffic patrol, ORV/Snowmobile patrol and Marine patrol. Chippewa County also has 4 School Resource Deputy positions.
