The Grand Blanc Township Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants for full-time police officer (1).  Established in 1833, Grand Blanc Township serves a population of over 36,746 residents and is proud of its progressive community atmosphere and friendliness.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Enforces local ordinances and laws of the State of Michigan and performs such tasks as necessary to prevent and suppress criminal activity, protect the lives and property of the public, regulate non-criminal conduct, and recover lost and stolen property while ensuring the public’s constitutional rights are upheld. Acts as the first line representative of the township to create and maintain a positive relationship with the community through sound Community Policing principles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • A minimum of 60 college credit hours
  • No felony convictions, and/or disqualifying criminal histories
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history
  • Ability to successfully complete a background, medical exam, drug screen, psychological exam and all other phases of the selection process

WAGES AND BENEFITS:

This is a full-time position (1) with a salary range of $54,054 to $79,104 after four years, plus a comprehensive benefit package.  This will be for an academy sponsorship with wages paid.  There will be a contractual wage increase in 2025.
