The Fowlerville Police Department is seeking dedicated and community-oriented individuals to join our team as full-time Police Officers. This role offers an opportunity to serve and protect the Fowlerville community, with numerous benefits and career advancement opportunities.
Salary: Top out pay $31.58/hourly
Key Benefits:
- $1,500 Academy Reimbursement: For those who have recently graduated from the police academy.
- Educational Bonuses: $0.50/hour bonus for officers with a bachelor's degree & $1.00/hour bonus for officers with a master's degree.
- Take-Home Vehicle: Provided upon successful completion of the probationary period.
- Holiday Pay: Paid holidays, (18 total) holiday check in November. Time and a half for officers working on Christmas and Thanksgiving, (In addition to the holiday check).
- Annual Pay Increase: 5% pay increase each year for the first three years, until the new contract is renewed in 2027.

- MERS Defined Contribution Plan: The village contributes 10% to your MERS plan, while you contribute 5%.
- Health Coverage: Blue Cross Blue Shield medical, dental, and vision plans, with only a 5% employee contribution.
- Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrued with every paycheck.
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, with night shift employees receiving an additional $0.50 per hour.

Minimum Requirements:
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States.
- Age: Must have reached 21st birthday at the time of employment.
- Licensing: Must be MCOLES licensed or eligible for licensing upon employment.
- Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Criminal History: No felony convictions and/or disqualifying criminal history.
- Education: Must possess a minimum of an associate degree or 60 credits from a qualifying accredited college.
- Background and Health: Must be able to pass an extensive background check, physical examination, psychological examination, and drug screening.
- Job Performance: Must have the ability to perform the essential job functions of a police officer.
