CERTIFIED LAW ENFORCEMENT JOB OPENINGS WITH 15 AND OUT! There are two full-time job openings for the position of Road Patrol Deputy within the Crawford County Sheriffs Office. We are looking for highly motivated, dedicated, and career-minded individuals to perform the job functions accurately and swiftly with due respect to citizens and residents of Crawford County, and co-workers of the Crawford County Sheriffs Office. Applicants are required to be certified with MCOLES and have a minimum of 3 years law enforcement experience.
Position Details
- Current Pay Scale $25.20-$29.17 with top pay out at 3-year anniversary.
- Take home car for deputies who reside within Crawford County and are off probation.
- 15 year and out Define Contribution retirement. 15-year requirement is waved once you are 60 years of age. Up to 14% D.C. match by Crawford County.
- 12 yearly holidays

- The POAM covered union position.
- The majority of positions are 12-hour shifts 0500-1700 and 1700-0500 with every other weekend off as a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have a valid driver's license and/or obtain a Michigan Driver's license by date of hire.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have an active and valid MCOLES licensed.
- 3 years law enforcement experience.
- Complete hiring process.
Hiring Process

- Take a psychological examination.
- Pass a physical examination.
