For your convenience, the physical fitness testing for 2025 has been organized by location. Registration instructions and contact information are provided within each respective area.

Delta Police Academy
Testing Information:
Physical Agility testing begins at 8:30 a.m. Registration and payment deadline is 4:00 p.m. the Monday proceeding the test. The testing will cost $55,00.

Northern Michigan University
Testing Information:
The MCOLES physical fitness test consists of four separate events: vertical jump, sit-ups, push-ups, and a ½ mile shuttle run. The cost to take the test will be $55. Candidates should contact the test site directly to register for the physical fitness pre-enrollment test. Official notification of the test result will be given to the candidates on the day of the test. The results will be on an official form and the score will be reported as PASS or FAIL.
The physical fitness test must be taken no sooner than 180 days before the beginning of the training academy session. Tests are offered only at training academies which are under Commission supervision. Other forms of fitness testing will not be accepted, although applicants are encouraged to practice the events prior to testing at an official site. Law enforcement agencies are encouraged to use the fitness testing as a pre-screening device prior to sending their applicants to an official MCOLES test.
Attendees must bring a completed Physician Health Screening Form with them the day of the test. Candidates will also need a driver’s license and $55 cash or check.
Testing location is in the Practice Gym PEIF Building (Third St and Fair Ave) at 8:00 A.M.

Oakland Police Academy
Testing Information:
To register for the physical agility test please mail your application and $45.00 (MONEY ORDER or CASHIER'S CHECK ONLY) made payable to the Oakland Police Academy, 2900 Featherstone Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. You may also hand deliver your application and payment prior to the deadline.
You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this test. You must also receive a health screening by a licensed M.D. or D.O. within 180 days of the test date. You must have a completed Physician’s Health Screening Form (TC-50) dated within 180 days of the test. The cost is $45 payable by MONEY ORDER ONLY to OAKLAND POLICE ACADEMY.

Wayne County Regional Police Academy
Testing Information:
The location for the test is Schoolcraft College Public Safety Complex, Academy Training Center at 31777 Industrial Road, Livonia, MI 48150.
To register for the agility test, you must pre-pay in-person before the test date. You can pre-register up to the Friday before the test. You will need to come to our location at 31777 Industrial Rd., Livonia to pre-register; the hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm. Payment options include: $50 exact cash or a money order made out to "Schoolcraft College". If you live more than an hour away, please call Mary Jane Richards at 734-462-4306. Testing begins promptly at 8:00am. Arrive 10 minutes early to check-in.
