Ending homelessness is a very difficult goal to reach. It will not be achieved by a single agency. That’s why MSHDA works with a wide network of partners to provide affordable housing options. These groups include public, private, for-profit, and non-profit organizations.

The MI BOSCOC promotes the prevention and ending of homelessness by developing and maintaining a system to coordinate federal and statewide resources and services for people experiencing homelessness in the Michigan Balance of State geographic area.
No one is homeless - everyone has a safe, stable place to call home.
The MI BOSCOC coordinates the jurisdiction's policies, strategies, and activities toward the prevention of homelessness and ending homelessness.

The MI BOSCOC covers BOS communities within those geographic areas in the state who do not directly apply for HUD’s Homeless Assistance Program funding. Homeless Assistance Program funding includes the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program and the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program.
