Since December 22, 2018, the federal government has been partially shut down, affecting some services and duties of federal agencies, including the U.S Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue today announced that many Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices will reopen temporarily in the coming days to perform certain limited services for farmers and ranchers.
Ensuring the safety of the state’s food supply is paramount to protecting public health as well as helping to grow Michigan’s $104.7 billion food and agriculture economy.
