Description: Join the Berrien County Conservation District and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) staff,  Jay Korson and Mike Wozniak, to learn about the GAAMPS for Manure Management and Utilization (first adopted in June 1988).  MDARD staff will discuss how careful storage, handling, and land application of manure is needed to utilize nutrients, control odors, and protect water resources. They will also discuss how the practice includes recommendations for: runoff control, odor management, manure storage facility design, manure application to land, record keeping, and manure management system plans.
