After a trauma or life-threatening event, it is common to have reactions such as upsetting memories of the event, increased jumpiness, irritability, or trouble sleeping. Generally these reactions will subside, but if they do not go away or if they get worse, you may have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Practicing mindfulness means grounding yourself in the present moment. Mindfulness has been shown to be helpful for reducing stress and coping with unpleasant thoughts and emotions. Mindfulness Coach will help you practice mindfulness meditation.
- Anger and Irritability Management Skills (AIMS): A mobile app to help you cope with anger problems. While AIMS was designed for Veterans and Service members, anyone can use it to learn more about anger and how to manage angry reactions. The app provides opportunities for finding support, the ability to create an anger management plan, anger tracking, and tools to help manage angry reactions.
