Military Leaves & Supplemental Pay

Information for state employees and agency personnel:

Since 1944, the Michigan Civil Service Commission has provided support for classified state employees called into military service. In recent years, the Commission strengthened its support by expanding the supplemental pay and benefit plan for employees in National Guard and reserve units who were called to emergency active duty after September 11, 2001.

The Commission is proud of state employees who continue their military training and service and is dedicated to ensuring that these employees and their families receive the support and benefits available to them.

This site contains information about military leaves of absence for classified state employees, the continuation of supplemental pay and benefits during National Guard and reserve duty, and reinstatement to state employment at the end of military service.
